Jim provides legal advice and assistance throughout Bahnson, Inc., including all regional offices and its four entities of Bahnson Mechanical Specialties, Bahnson Environmental Specialties, Intermech, and Bahnson Mechanical Systems, at the highest level of scope and complexity. He independently performs a full range of legal services and maintains a diverse caseload of challenging legal issues.

He is additionally responsible for setting the overall philosophy and strategy of the organization regarding legal matters and ensuring that all practices, policies, and business activities comply with federal, state, and local statutes and regulations.

Also, Jim directs and oversees the company’s human resources function and strategy and is responsible for developing and implementing policies, programs, and procedures related to training, development, compensation, employee relations, recruitment, labor relations, and performance management.

Expertise

Jim received his bachelor’s degree in education from Wake Forest University in North Carolina, graduating magna cum laude. He went on to attend and graduate from Wake Forest University School of Law. Upon graduation Jim practiced with a large southeastern law firm for four years, after which he joined Wachovia Bank's Legal Department, eventually becoming Senior Vice President and Counsel. After seven years with Wachovia, Jim joined the team at Bahnson, Inc.
